As I was snoozing in bed I was woken to the cry of “one of your worms has escaped and its still alive”. It had made it a good 20 feet overnight, it was a bit dry but still very active - back in the wormery it went..
turned left across me at the M3 junction 4a roundabout, unfortunately I was going straight on - nearly got mashed, should have got his number but I was too busy avoiding the flatbed trailer…
Just such a good game, I played it too much in my week off ( Sun has a use it or lose it holiday system), most of the time on line - dobbin45dad rocks!! Well I will do when I get a lot better. Split screen one-on-one mode with my teenager is embarrassing as his faster reactions become very obvious, I’m still thinking what to do and he has fired at me. We started at a ratio of 50:1 to him. Now after a week practice its down to 2:1….
Last week in Norfolk we saw night time lows of -8 degrees C, with a freezing fog that left everything covered in a thin layer of ice. Then yesterday it was 16 degrees C in the daytime, from winter great coats to tee short and shorts in a week!
It was cold and freezing this morning, so I drove to work and on the way I saw a nice shiny porsche in a ditch about 50 yards after a very sharp left turn on kennel lane, I wonder how many times he fishtailed before falling in the ditch.

The property developers are doing a grab on a back garden near us, they want to put 4 houses on the garden - that will be nice - 16 people living withing 100 yards, our nice quiet back gardens with birds, bats, badgers and foxes etc disturbed by 4 families living in the back garden.. almost makes you want to move house - thanks Gordon.
We subscribed to a magazine for one of the offspring, we even payed by direct debit. Note the past tense, they sent us an email to confirm the banking details, instead of pointing us to a secure website to check our bank account details, address etc they sent it all to us in an email.
We no longer do business with them.
bought some lighter winter gloves, it took ages to find some cycling gloves that weren’t black, I wanted gloves with lots of reflective material - even flashing orange lights on them, best I could get had small reflective patches on the otherwise steath material.. and some new rubber boots and a very expensive but very light headlight.
The tiny lithium ion battery last longer than my old 2kg bottle cage lead acid accumulator, the head unit is tiny weighs nothing but puts out more light.. as on all things to do with bicycles - better is lighter, less is more expensive.
first tiny new worm spotted in the wormery.. must be doing something right..
but are been replaced with an outbreak of Entrachyadids - tiny thin white worms that indicate the food is too acidic, I need to add more cardboard and more lime. the worms are huge and there are thousands of them just under the surface…
