		<description>oddly I now see that solaris does have a graphical hex editor, under developer tools. Ghex very useful I like the base converter. /usr/bin/ghex2

I posted a nice help question to the forum, included the sd bootloader error message, and some kind souls pointed out that I was using a &lt;strong&gt;CF&lt;/strong&gt; card and getting &lt;strong&gt;SD&lt;/strong&gt; card bootloader messages.

I switched to a &lt;strong&gt;SD&lt;/strong&gt; card and it installed perfectly first time.. That proves several things..

1) I can be dense.
2) the solaris fdisk/mkfs_pcfs -o fat=32  works okay
3) the answer is in the error message if only you can work out where.

wm 6.0 seems really good - much quicker....
